Steps to Getting Approval for Internship Credit

Once you have secured an internship position, complete the steps below if you wish to obtain internship course credit. All steps should be completed well in advance of the start of your internship. No approval will be granted after you have started your internship. Students MUST submit the two application forms found below BEFORE THEY START THEIR INTERNSHIP.

  1. Once the internship position has been confirmed, follow the steps listed on the AIO website (Steps to Getting Approval for Internship Credit).

  2. Submit the ISID forms, found here.
NOTE: It is wise that students do not wait until the very last minute to fill out the Internship form as a signature from their supervisor is required, as well as a signature from the Arts Internship Office. The ISID office will also accept an email confirmation from the Academic Supervisor in lieu of a signature.

  3. Once the forms have been reviewed and approved by the ISID Undergraduate Program Director and/or the ISID Student Advising Administrator, students will be contacted via email with additional information and a Minerva permit to register for the course.

Evaluation

A grade for the internship will be assigned by the academic supervisor, based on the agreement initially made between the student and the academic supervisor.
