BCom Students Take 1st Place at 2016 University of Auckland's Champions' Trophy

A Desautels BCom student case team composed of Rachel Burk, Maripaz Fernandez, Michael Fishman and Deven Sanon took 1st place at the 9th annual University of Auckland’s Champions Trophy held January 23 to 30, 2016.

Twelve top business schools who won world ranked business case competitions in 2015 were invited to compete.  The Desautels team made it to the finals by winning their group division composed of National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technology University in a three-day three case total points format. In the finals, Desautels competed against Chinese University of Hong Kong, Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, Singapore Management University and the host, University of Auckland.

The team had taken the "Case Analysis and Presentation" class taught by Professor Richard Donovan.  A special thanks goes to Peg Brunelle, BCom Career Advisor, who advised and accompanied the team to Auckland.
