SIS PhD student Fei Shu and co-authors receive awards for exceptional papers at ASIS&T 2015

Congratulations to McGill School of Information Studies PhD student Fei Shu, recently awarded the 2015 ASIS&T SIG/MET Student Paper Contest for the paper “Evolution of iSchool Movement (1988-2013): A Bibliometric View” by Fei Shu and Philippe Mongeon (McGill University and University de Montreal).

As well, Fei’s paper "Twitter Activity and Scientific Collaboration of LIS schools and Faculty Members", co-authored with two PhD students from EBSI, won the Best Altmetrics Paper in the SIG/MET workshop at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting in November 2015.

Fei's supervisor is Dr. Charles-Antoine Julien.


SIG/MET is the American Society for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T) Special Interest Group for the measurement of information production and use.
