FRQSC’s Research Support for New Academics - Information Session

The purpose of the FRQSC’s Research Support for New Academics program is to assist researchers who have just launched their careers to become established as independent researchers, and also more competitive nationally and internationally.
 
New researchers in social sciences and humanities, arts and literature who are planning to apply to the upcoming FRQSC fall 2016 competition are encouraged to attend this information session, which will include:
 
A brief presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the Research Support for New Academics program by Joanna Mastalerek, Grants Officer, Social Sciences and Humanities;
 
presentations from Prof. Lisa Overholtzer (Department of Anthropology) and Prof. Pierre-Emmanuel Moyse (Faculty of Law), who will share their experiences as grant awardees and reviewers under this program and strategies for creating a successful proposal;
 
a question and answer period where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the application process.
