Information Session: FRQSC - Research Team Support Program

Wednesday, May 4, 2016 10:00to12:00
Arts Building, CA, QC, Montreal, CA

The purpose of the FRQSC’s Research Team Support Program is to support the creation or the implementation of teams’ scientific program for the coordination of research projects (active or to be developed) in the social sciences and humanities, arts and literature. McGill professors considering applying to this opportunity are encouraged to attend this information session.

Michelle Picard-Aitken, Grants and Agreements Officer, Social Sciences and Humanities will present:

·       Information on the program, as well as tips and tools for the application process for different types of eligible teams. This opportunity funds infrastructure support for teams that are new (Emerging Teams), already in place (Operating Teams) or who have already held funds as an Operating team (Renewal). Operational and Renewal teams must receive external funding in order to carry out the research projects undertaken as part of their scientific program.

·       Recent changes to the program guidelines. Updated competition guidelines and forms will be posted on the FRQSC website mid-April. For the Fall 2016 Research Team Support competition, the FRQSC will replace the Letter of Intent with a streamlined Notice of Intent, due June 30, 2016.

Time will also be reserved for a question and answer period, where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the application process. Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their inquiries to michelle [dot] picard-aitken [at] mcgill [dot] ca (Michelle Picard-Aitken) (ext. 3348) in advance so that they may be included in the session.

You are invited to register here by Thursday, April 28th, 2016.
