Name-Tag 2012

The step from classroom to clinical practice for students in McGill’s occupational therapy and physical therapy programs was celebrated on May 2, 2012 at the Name-Tag Ceremony.

Dr. David Eidelman, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine highlighted the important and valuable nature of working in the health care system.

Dr. Annette Majnemer, Director of the SPOT reinforced how professional training and development is a life-long quest, and that this ceremony marks an important phase in the process, but that the process never ends!

The two student representatives, Laura Klaponski (OT class) and Arthur Woznowski-Vu reminisced about the trials and tribulations of classroom learning and expressed their eagerness to get to work with real clients instead of the standardized patients of the simulation centre!

Two clinicians, Clara Carpintero, OT, and Patrick Handfield, PT, sent the students off with words of wisdom and encouragement.
